No matter what you’re planning to serve or where in Dallas or Fort Worth you’re hosting your wedding reception, we have all you need for the perfect wedding reception! Our Wedding Catering Menu will show you what we can prepare. We’ve broken it down this way:
Buffet Wedding Catering Service
You’ve all seen these. Banquet tables are grouped together or scattered about to create “food stations” for the guests who go to those tables and are either served by wait staff or help themselves to whatever reception menu item they want. This service type takes up some floor space so the guests can move around the room and around and among the buffet tables. Your wedding caterer, wedding coordinator, or venue attendant can guide you on the recommended placement of the buffet tables.
Depending on the event, this is a more economical presentation and can allow for a bit more guest interaction than a plated meal. This is probably why food stations are so popular. For a group of people who may or may not be familiar with each other, this is a great way to get people to mingle and to entertain them.
With buffet service, there is a bit more control over the time it takes to feed your group. We can calculate how many buffet lines are needed to serve your guests in your provided time and plan accordingly.
Catered Wedding Food Stations
Growing in popularity, food stations for wedding receptions offer guests the chance to mix and mingle while gathering their food. These also provide entertainment if you submit a professionally manned station like a carving station, pasta station, or themed station. The food is typically presented individually so guests can create what they want to customize their food choices. These stations will require more time to serve everyone but are a great way to add variety to what would typically be one standard menu item for all.
Plated Meal Wedding Reception Service
Plated meal service serves your guests seated at their table, similar to what you would experience at a restaurant or hotel. This more traditional and formal service will require more time and event staff than hosting a traditional buffet line. Estimate almost twice the needed staff costs to serve your guests promptly.
You can modify this service by having some things on the tables for the guests when they’re ready to sit down and eat. Depending on what you’ve chosen to serve, you can “pre-plate”:
Appetizers
Breads, Rolls and Butters, Jams, Jellies
Salads
Sauces, Salad Dressings and Condiments
Beverages – Water and Iced Tea can be poured and placed at each place setting
